206 Injectors ?

#1: 206 Injectors ? Author: SteveTDCi, Location: Stamford PostPosted: Thu Sep 06, 2012 3:51 am
    ----
Are the 206 injectors all the same ? There is a second hand set on ebay that are from a 1.4 8v 206 and from the year 99/00 exactly the same as mine. Its difficult to see in the pictures but they possibly look black where my injectors are light grey ?

I just wondered if there was any difference. I realise larger engines will be different but didn't know if it would be simliar across the 1.4 range. Its the injector rail and loom all included thats being sold for £45.

If they are worth a punt i'll go and get them as they are local. Oh and do pug dealers tend to stock the seals ? they only look like basic o rings to me. And is the injector rail easy to swap and noi special tools needed ?

Cheers guys
Steve

easy job to change over, seals can be found in most motor factors if unable to source any, no special tools are needed.

cheers ben, any idea if the black and grey are interchangable ? I'm told they should be.

Black and gray should be interchangable.
Green certainly are not as they are quad-jet.

Golden opertunity to clean the injectors one by one, you'll be amazed.
If you search Yourtube there are a couple of vids showing a simple-ish way of doing it yourself
with makeshift tools and carb-cleaner spray. If you do use carb-cleaner, wear gloves at all costs. Smile
