I think it's on the back of the engine below the injector-rail connector.

Why?

I think it's a crystal-pickup, unlikely to get worn but let me know how you get on.

What are the running issues btw? Thread?

Replacing each sensor with new ones is somewhat of a shotgun technique..
But at least you are definately sure you have covered possibilities and have brand new parts in there which will last.
Been there, done that and it costs. So at this stage my suggestions would be:

1) Check your valve tappet clearances first and foremost.
(they can easily cause erratic idling if valves are opening too much)
2) Make sure you have Bosch FR7DC+ sparks and don't mess with the gap.
(they are pre-gapped and the only one's for TU3 engine specified by Bosch)
3) Clean the injectors one by one yourself and save a load in the process.
They cannot be cleaned properly unless taken-out.
4) Headgasket ever been changed?

Or put it on eBay and finish with it.

1) Check your valve tappet clearances first and foremost. - will try this when i get back from holiday, it does sound a little tappety
(they can easily cause erratic idling if valves are opening too much)
2) Make sure you have Bosch FR7DC+ sparks and don't mess with the gap. - erm, its got what came from euro car parts Smile they have been fine for the past 7 months though
(they are pre-gapped and the only one's for TU3 engine specified by Bosch)
3) Clean the injectors one by one yourself and save a load in the process. - will also do this when i get back from holiday, they are easy enough to get out Smile
They cannot be cleaned properly unless taken-out.
4) Headgasket ever been changed? - Yes, about 6 months before i got it, and it looks like it was cleaned out properly too.

AS for ebay, yep thats the plan Smile

To be honest the MAP and Crank sensor were a bit of a gamble, but for the price it was worth taking, and to be honest it has solved some of the fluctuations in idle speed - thats when holding it a 2000rpm, it seems to have made it smoother and revs cleaner so i wouldn't say its a total waste:)
