#1: 180 tapping noise continues... Its driving me crazy and every garage up here says that they ain't willing to delve into taking apart an engine?! I've had mechanic mates look at it and they all say its defo the lifters but they were changed and still the identical noise. Could it be anything else? What's this fuel rail tapping I keep reading about? Could it be this? Arrgh!!

if you got new lifers then there is no order.
however if you use 2nd hand lifers your suppose to use the corresponding camshaft as well and not to swap the order of the lifters. (as lifers and camshaft lends to wear out differently at different position)
what oil did you use?
