#1: which Fan switch? Author: Jedster, Posted: Tue Sep 11, 2012 12:31 pm ---- Hi
Just got a 51 plate 206 GLX 1.6 16v auto.
2 problems-
Car now and again overheats. had Head gasket checked- fine, Changed the engine temp sensor, changed thermostat, flushed and back flushed. Fans do not work when car overheats so think its the fan switch. Ordered two now but both ones are the fatter type with wide blue socket that look like the type fitted to the radiator. I think mine looks like it goes into the head.
Please can anyone help?
Next problem in next thread under ABS.
Cheers

#6: Re: which Fan switch? Author: southwestchap, Location: DevonPosted: Wed Sep 12, 2012 3:24 am ---- Just one little thing I came across the other day. I changed my engine bay fuse box to get my front fogs to work and had a look at the Maxi fuses under there, one was blown. And that was the fan fuse. The fan has never worked on my car as it stays cool (maybe only in traffic it crept up a bit but once moving it was fine again). But now from replacing that fuse it does. maybe something to check?
