oil pressure switch..

Can someone please tell me where the oil pressure switch/sensor is on my peugeot 206 1.4 hdi 2003. thanks.

Remove the wire and unscrew it. To refit do the opposite, replacing the sealing washer though.

It's a fiddly job but as above.

Make sure you put some news paper / old rags down as oil will drip when the sensor is removed.

Why dont you try your sockets on the new switch.

i havent got the new one yet, its hard to get a socket deep enough to undo it, and cant get a spanner in either...

Buy the new switch, take it to Halfords & find a deep socket that fits it, take the socket to the till & pay for it.

i just did mine on a 1.6 hdi was a nightmare, i took the doser unit(if you have one off) on top of the engine,
took the aircondition pump (again if you have a/c)off underneath and pushed it out towards the wheel and took the altenator off.
this it was 22mm? i used a ring spanner to do mine
took me about 2 hours to do because i tested pressure same time...
id get a sensor from peugeot 1st because this is not a job you want to do twice

thanks it did help, changed it.. the oil light has stopped coming, but the stop sign is still flashing away along with the temperature gauge flickering up and down...

Sounds like your engine coolant temp sensor is disconnected.

Where is the engine coolant temp sensor located and is it a long process to replace?
