easy.
all you need to do it grease up your tyre
#4: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Sat Sep 15, 2012 4:29 pm ---- I actually achieved 0-60 in my 180 with the nimrods on In 7 seconds dead with video to back it up, was very chuffed with it
#5: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: Barking, Location: sarcasm-in-shedloadsPosted: Sat Sep 15, 2012 4:33 pm ---- 0-60 in less than 7.5 secs is reasonably easy. Fastest in my 180 was 7.1 secs (runway, GPS timed at an organised race event)
#6: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Sep 15, 2012 4:42 pm ---- Is that quarter mile speed an average or the speed at the quarter mile? Seems slow although the time seems reasonable.
#7: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: 138Andy, Location: NottsPosted: Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:05 pm ---- from a 206 gti 138 , the rest of the s**t wont apply to the test didnt do the full test just stopped after the 0-60 ended

#10: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: 138Andy, Location: NottsPosted: Sat Sep 15, 2012 5:13 pm ---- i can post you my disc's with the program on if you want mate ? would just need a £3 cable from ebay installs on windows xp , vista and win7
#11: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: lee1985, Location: North WestPosted: Sat Sep 15, 2012 7:59 pm ---- Fastest I've got with a 180 with a brand new Janspeed and a K&N air panel is about 8.5 seconds and that's on an empty tank and a flat road with ESP off red lining the first two gears (the car reaches 60 at about 6k+ rpm in gear 2)
I'm obviously a crap driver.
I know the driver makes a big difference, but 1.5 seconds in a 0-60 is an absolutely MASSIVE amount of time as I sure you are all well too aware, thus I'm dubious of any driver who reckons they can knock a whole 1.5 seconds off me red-lining a 0-60 (to which I think I did a fairly good job)
It's like saying you can knock 1.5 seconds off the 0-60 on a Nissan GTR - same principle, just a faster car.
Maybe I have a dud.

My car did 7.1 secs in the hands of Seb (staff member). I guarantee the figure is accurate - other members tested my car and the times varied from 7.1 to 9.0 (ESP on + passenger). At the same event it also beat a Clio Trophy 4 times out of 5 on the test track, but couldn't beat a stripped Clio 172. My 180 had a Janspeed & 17" Vortex, 215 tyres at the front, with adjustable coilovers. It was running 167.4bhp at the time.

you shouldnt red line lol limiter bashing will slow your 0-60
#15: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: lee1985, Location: North WestPosted: Sun Sep 16, 2012 6:09 am ---- Andy I change just before the red line but presumed this is known as red lining I.e Gettin the most out of the car or as some might say revving the b******s off it.
Barking I don't for one minute disbelieve what you say, I understand the figures are accurate I have seen videos on YouTube. It just further points to the suggestion that I have a dud.
Or as the other geezer said I have a dud and I'm a crap driver.
I'd like to get the car on a Dyno to check out its power even if I had to pay but I've asked on here before and no one advised me of any places around Manchester where I could get this done.
But I'm sure that would highlight any horrible power problems that I might have.

RSTuning in Leeds is probably the best dyno to use in your area, and they are very helpful if there's anything wrong with your car [over-fuelling, etc].
If you DO have it dyno'd, make a meet of it. I'm sure loads would attend (I would too, if it was on a Saturday)

Don't forget the '180' only really has 12.5 BHP & is slower than every other car ever produced
#18: Re: quick 0-60 test Author: lee1985, Location: North WestPosted: Sun Sep 16, 2012 11:30 am ---- E5 regarding your last post, as much as that was said tongue in cheek, I'm inclined to believe you.
I think my 180 is not far off being as slow as a Corsa 1.0 Ecoflex which the Topgear magazine states has a very speedy 0-60 of 17.1 seconds.
Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating. But it's like buying a Porsche 911 Turbo and finding that you can't lose a moderately modified Scooby that's right up your ass. You'd be wounded.
