i am starting to modify my engine by soon make it look like a show bay, but real carbon covers are £160 minium

my question is could you use carbon wrap on it or would the heat make it go crapy?

But engine covers don't get that hot? If it was that hot the engine cover wouldn't be plastic to start with.

i don't see how carbon wrap on the top PLASTIC cover will cause a fire its fine every other single time??

Plenty of people have done it if you search online, some say cheap wrap slightly shrinks but if you get decent 3M wrap it's fine.

The very worst that will happen is that it will shrink, it wont do anything else.
