Basically I went out to my car this morning, and my heart actually sunk. I didn't realise how much I loved this car until now Sad
It could of happened out the back of my house, or parked at my boyfriends as I left like 11.30 too tired and cold to pay attention in the dark... But some C**t has done this to it, for fun as I haven't p**sed anyone off Sad -excuse the standard wheels, havent found a decent set of alloys close yet :/ -

What's the best thing to try and hide it? It's deep. And don't say t-cut. Please Sad

Not alot you can do sorry, we had the same thing done keyed all round and b***h written on it. you could try and use a touch up but it will stand out

i hate people who do this, if you find out who has done it take matters into your own hands as the police wont do a thing

Touch up pen or re-spray the side.

Looks to deep to polish out.

Or, smash the f*** out of the car and call it "rat look".

Trust me, if I find out who did it, I'll hold them hostage till I get a full respray done, maybe hand them over for live experimentation in china, maybe even give them a holiday- to a canabilistic tribe.

The drivers door is being resprayed soon - weather permitting due to another c*** that decided to drive at me and drive off, just it's all along the front wing as well as rear and door Sad

Sounds good to me. Might also chop them off, cook them up, and force feed it to them.

the only insurance company to offer vandalism insurance is directline, with an excess of £80, you are not with them by any chance?>

Not much you can do perhaps take it to a detailer or paint shop for advice?

Depends on your insurer and level of cover.

A detailer may be able to reduce the visual effect of the scoring by machine polishing.

Didnt explain it very well. what i mean is if you are with directline then part of their policy if fully comp is they cover you for vandalism,, with an excess of 80 squids and it wont affect no claims.

Unfortunately I'm with diamond :/ hmm, may do, I just don't want this car to look a state, might just see what I can do, patch it up, sell it on if not. Get a More powerful 206 when my insurance is due for renewal.

If I were you I'd get some fully cellulose paint mixed up and fill it all in with a fine brush making sure it's nice a thick and stands off then let it dry , rub it back with 1500 wet, wet and dry sand paper and get a machine polisher on it !! Smile

fixing such things always cost much, because you can't get rid of it unless you respray the whole side, which will cost much these days.

Yeah, and the whole metallic matching wont be perfect :/ I need a rich person to crash into the drivers side, be honest and then buy me another one, because they don't want to go through insurance Smile haha

How about some sort of vinyl strip to cover up the damage? A respray will cost a fortune, and touching up won't be sufficient because that looks quite deep. I'm sure you could find a stripe vinyl like that below which may help to hide the damage cheaply?

Problem is its not a basic straight line, it goes up and down, stops for like 20cm after the lock then starts again, thing is typically the door due to be resprayed has the least amount of damage, the Wing is the deepest. Might try the suggestion of the paint, sand and polish...I'm gutted honestly, ive done well not to stack this car, yet the damage is from others :/ always on drivers side. :'(

You could visit a breakers yard and look for a door and front wing in matching colour, there are plenty of peugeot specific breakers yards. If you can fit them yourself (there are how to's on here) you'd save money over respraying those parts and the more factory paint you have on your car the better in my opinion.

That would leave you with just the quarter panel to respray, you might find someone to blend it in for £100 but the best result will be to respray the whole panel so there isn't any noticeable blending, maybe along the lines of £300 for a top quality job.

Go to the local college and ask the tutor on the body repair course if they want a project car for the trainees to work on. Slip him £100 and you'll have a decent looking job. I've known a few people do this but it does help if the tutor is willing to take the cash.

Problem with getting second hand panels is that the paint can look aged compared to the freshly painted panel and will look like a patchwork quilt. Better to have the full side done, which doesn't cost that much more since the panels are adjacent to each other.

If you can catch your finger nail in the scrape then a rotary polisher will not be able to polish it out. You could see a local detailer to see what they recommend

I'm a Painter and a proper respray is your best option what Johnbyron is good advice if you can get the paint code you can buy small tins 500ml ect and fill the scratch in then flat it all down with 1500-2000 wet n dry. the panel will look rough as a badgers ballbag but if you can borrow a machine polisher and wet polish it, it will look very good only downside if its metallic paint it will need a laquer coat so you will still be able to see the scratch but it will look a million times better than it does and only cost around £30.

Sand it prime it spray it lacquer it, you've only 40 quid to lose if it comes out bad, some b*****d went for my satnav screw driver straight through the door unlocked it that way and I had a hold in the door so I've welded 12mm thick steel plates behind the door locks, fillered the hole sanded and sprayed its not perfect but you have to look real close to notice it, alternatively if it bothers me that much ill get a new door. But if try spraying it if it were me, then go on the hunt and rip their f******g heads off, people like this really get to me! A friend of my father in laws picked up his new Corsa ltd edition 62 plate 2 weeks later came out to find 2 locking nuts missing and one loose one, he's since changed the bolts each pair had a different locking nut the remaining 12 nuts 6 are 19mm 6 are 17mm so it should p**s the little b******s off when they try to steal them again, he also installed CCTV. I'm just glad I live in a village and over the rd has CCTV which over looks the front of my drive Very Happy

I'd get a can of spray paint, spray some into the cap to there's some liquid paint settled at the bottom, then take a fine paint brush and try your best to fill it in.

That's been done on the damage to the paintwork previous to this, I got paint specially mixed, it's still not a perfect match, hence the door being resprayed soon, which is typical, the car was going to look next to perfect again Mad Evil or Very Mad

It just p**ses me off, keep myself to myself, don't annoy anyone, and some s**t does it. I honestly hope they get run over by 206, in this colour. Shits.

To thoese who have said about paint prime and polish, any specific type of paint? If so where can I get it?

Touch up marker would be a good idea until you respray it if you are. A guy in my class earlier said to me keying a car is good fun and he was being serious. Why people do this i do not know

Load of rubbish, if someone keyed your car it would come underneath malicious damage which practically every full comp policy covers.

I wouldn't bother claiming for it anyway as it would go down as a fault claim, unless you have protected no claims it might be a good option.

EDIT I just saw the following post after you put saying it wont affect no claims with direct line, my bad. Razz
