have got an error come up on my display saying asr/esp not functioning or something along them linesc
have baught an obd 2 reader off ebay to read the fault codes and itt doesnt work
could some one tell me why this is

Did you have ignition on? Might be no good if its a cheap one.

Does your ABS light come on?

yes mate had ignition on and tried it when it was off to

no the abs light isnt on its jus the esp light but have tried pressing the button ofn and off but still no difference

generic readers won't read those codes. You need peugeot planet/diagbox

most cheap ebay code reader can only read p-code; so that will not work in your case

have just had the codes red and the codes were v1105 absence of communication with the steering wheel angle sensor no signal and v1305 operation steering wheel angle sensor

You have done the obvious & checked for blown fuses for the ESP system?

Sounds like it's new com 2000 time Laughing

Euro Car parts will do you a new Valeo com 2000 pretty cheap, well cheaper then Peugeot main dealer.

ESP steering angle sensor is built in to the com unit.

206 with ESP is pretty rare & the com 2000 units are silly money new from Peugeot.

Have you tried searching "esp fuse"?

Most of the time when no one answers a question it's because the answer can be found somewhere on the forum just by searching.
