Hi,

I have an 206, 2,0 HDI 2001 plate, I am pulling my hair out with this car.

Firstly the car developed problems, after changing a fuse, the central locking failed and the indicators. After removing and replacing the F6 fuse inside the car it fixed the problems but no longer would start.

The Ecu was said to be the problem, replaced the ECU car started, but within 2 days the car started being hit or miss with starting, before dying totally.

I took the car to a garage and they tested all the electrics and said it was the ECU I have another one and the car started, 2 days later it failed again. Car went back to the garage and they said it was the ECU again.

I sent the ECU to ECU testing.com and they said today the ECU was fine, I can't afford to keep paying garage bills and getting no where.

The Rac guy put the tester on and it came back with these fault codes. before the ECU was tested last time...

Is there a common thing to try and work from there?

P0230 Limp Mode
P0403 EGR Control Circuit
P1135 Pedal Pressure rail Sensor
P1138 High Pressure Rail Sensor
P1402 EGR Metering Sensor
P1403 x2 Additional heating circuit
P1517 IMRC input error Bank2

The car was fine everytime the ECU was changed, no flat spots or lacking in power, I am fairly compitent on changing sensors on the car,

work from the beginning,

P1517 is the ecu relay circuit fault, check that main relay.
P0230 is fuel pump circuit fault, see if the pump prime when ignition is on.

did the engine crank at all? cranking speed normal? battery and earthing checked?

any fuel getting to the injector? did the in-tank fuel pump prime when the ignition on?

did all fuse checked and fine? ever try to use the spare key to start the car?
