I realised that i dont think my timing belt hasnt been changed nd my car is about to hit 90k. So im going to get it changed and goin to get my fan belt changd at the same time. How much should this cost and how much are the belts? Hada look and found couple for tenner each on ebay but dont know if they gd or not. Cheers in advance.

gate or dayco belt only.

Think you can get a cambelt kit for about £70 but if your chsnging cambelt better off doing water pump while everything is off don't know about fan belts hope this helped

I'm assuming you plan to get a garage to do it. I would phone around and get quotes for the labour and parts and also quotes for labour only. See what the difference is, You have to remember if you supply the parts most garages will not guarantee the work which means if something goes wrong you will be buggered. For the sake of saving yourself a few quid on the belts I would just get somewhere to do the full job for peace of mind.

do they not just use cheap parts though? i always supply my own parts. true what your saying though, if it goes wrong your f****d

you can ask them to use oem parts for sure.....

And tbh they get parts at trade price; which is almost certain cheaper than ebay
