#1: Gti 140 noises from rear axel Author: Supacool1, Location: BasingstokePosted: Mon Oct 01, 2012 7:15 pm ---- Hi,
Got the above but am experiencing some noises from the rear. I have hosed everything down with WD40, all the bushes seems to be intact and there is nothing loose I can jiggle around under there. The suspension feels fine and cornering is all good.
Any ideas what this could be? Hard I know but it sounds like squeaking/grinding. Does not happen all the time. Also could this be related with a crap action of the handbrake? I've adjusted it but still it is a bit poor. Any help is most useful!
Thanks.
Supa

I had the same problem with a noise from the rear of the car and it turned out to be the rear axle bearing that had gone ?
