That axle doesnt even appear to have the mounting bosses that were part of the later trailing arms. I reckon that's an exle from 2002 ish. Appears to have the later handbrake levers on the calipers.

I no the front does more breaking than the back but i think the discs with the 180 (Challeger /vortex wheels) Look a little small.

Just use 207GTI or C4 VTS front brake setup with Calipers and disc. They are 302mm and required 16" wheels minimum.

Calipers 2nd hand be about £50.00 the pair, new discs shouldn't be much more than £80.00 for a REALLY decent set and pads about £30/40. As the calipers are also setup for handbrake it means no faffing with a secondary caliper or hydrualic handbrake setup
