Hi, I'm new to this forum but I hope someone can help. My girlfriend has a 1.1 04 plate 'fever' and I'm in charge of maintanance! Its having some trouble starting, it cranks over for rather longer than it should, and it has reset all the time clocks and silly things back to 0 a few times once started? I'm not that good at explaining, but I'm better at answering! Any help is appreciated, cheers guys!

Check the battery with a voltmeter or go to a garage to have it checked before shelling out on a new one. There is a known issue with the earth cables running from the battery to the body and the gearbox. Check these as they can sometimes give the same symptoms as the battery going flat.

Thumb Up Also congratulations on putting all the details of the car in your first post. There are some members on here that still don't realise that there are so many variants of the 206. Thumb Up
