Spare key don't work - does it say when battery flat?

Spare key that came with the car does everything but unlock/lock the car.

It unlocks it with the key, alarm rings, put key in ignition the car starts and alarm stops. My main key works fine.

I'm thinking it's the battery but wouldn't it flash up on the display if that's the case?

If not, what battery do i need?

I've tried the re-syncing and it's not worked.

Car is a 53 Multiplex

Cheers.

Key needs to have been in use for the BSI to warn of a low keyfob battery.

Open the key & have a look at the battery part number.

Okay cool that makes sense.

I'll do that. Don't suppose it could be any other issue?

To conclude - new battery fitted and it worked straight away. No re-syncing required.
