I still have the original clarion head unit fiited. I was just wondering whether this unit has the capability to hook up an amp to it and run some new speakers off it. cheers

You need to buy an adaptor with RCA out and piggyback it to the front speakers.
I got my adaptor from eBay for about £5.

Yes it will. Get some scotchlock clips and join onto front speaker wiring. Then you plug your RCA leads into the adaptor and other end into your amp.
You will need to find out which speaker wire is which (pos, neg etc)
