#1: Coolant colour Author: Domo, Location: EdinburghPosted: Wed Oct 10, 2012 6:42 pm ---- My mate pointed out my coolant was very low so today i bought some antifreeze nd summer coolant. Couldnt see the coolant as it was a bit dark when poured it in when it got to where it should b i could see the colour. And it came up as a dirty brown colour. Surely this isn't normal?!

Empty, flush then refill and watch the level and colour for a while.
#7: Re: Coolant colour Author: Domo, Location: EdinburghPosted: Thu Oct 11, 2012 5:39 pm ---- How do you empty nd flush. Probs dumb question like. If i fo empty it i have premixed coolant stuff so how much that will it take to fill? Cheers guys.
#8: Re: Coolant colour Author: Seabook, Posted: Thu Oct 11, 2012 5:43 pm ---- there is a thread about how to change coolant.
pre-mixed stuff is useless in this case as you can't drain the coolant from the engine block easily (a good 4-5L will stay in the block)
