8 valve petrol TU headgasket is pretty simple to do.

Just remember to get the head skimmed & replace the timing belt kit at the same time!

Get yourself a Haynes manual & buy / borrow a suitable torque wrench.

Its a job certain people could easily do in a couple of evenings after work.

Take it apart one evening, drop it of for skimming next morning, pick it up in the afternoon then put it back together that evening. Laughing

Take it to a cylinder head specalists / engineering shop & get the surface of the cylinder head skimmed perfectly flat.

Unless the cylinder head & engine block mating surfaces are perfectly flat / within spec the new head gasket can fail again pretty quickly.

Anyone with same query contact me, seagull104. I've done it. It took me several days and I have done many before!!! But this car is different. I have done a detailed write-up including use of Haynes.

Posting the write-up as a HOW-TO would be extremely useful!

I have tried to load the document on a "How to" page but cannot find out how it's done???
See latest How to entry for 206.
Any advice would be appreciated.
