#1: Trembling beneath driver's feet and passenger's feet. Author: traffica1, Posted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 8:10 am ---- Hello,
Firstly thank you for your support in advance.
Concerning the problem i am facing, while driving i feel a tremble beneath my feet and the passenger can feel the same as well, also it produces a sound that is not clearly heard (sometimes). Since the latter has started i felt like my brakes are not functioning the same as before, i got my brakes checked yet there were no problem occurring.
Any help?
Thanks again

Author: Gazza, Location: OSWESTRYPosted: Tue Oct 16, 2012 1:14 am ---- if youve had your break check and there is no issue with them then it sounds like your wheel bearings have play in them, when drive, turning the wheels will make the discs push the piston back in the calipers, do you find you have to push your foot down more to the breaks work? if so id say this is the case, when you are station, pump the foot pedal, does the brakes feel ok then?

The break pedal is harder to push down than before. (Note: this does not happen all the time, its occasional).
do you still suggest i check the wheel bearings?
as well does the latter produce a trembling beneath one's feet? (driver and passenger ?)

Author: Gazza, Location: OSWESTRYPosted: Tue Oct 16, 2012 1:59 am ---- oh ok, maybe you brake servo or the vacuum pipe has a whole, does the car idle more higher rpms tham usaul? wishbones are pretty common but also could be your top strut mounts, if you shake the steering wheel when stationary can you here any clunking them?
#7: Re: Trembling beneath driver's feet and passenger's feet. Author: traffica1, Posted: Tue Oct 16, 2012 2:18 am ---- true, my rpms are higher than before, it now takes more time and the rpm goes higher before shifting gears (automatic transmission). and yes sometimes there's a squeak while shaking the steeing wheel.
