#1: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:27 pm ---- Right guys no stupid sarcastic answers please,
I might be upgrading my car this week to a 1.9tdi a3, so the pug will just be sitting around collecting dust until someone buys it, so basically ill give you the spec and a few pics tell me if you think I'm being unreasonable my price is based on different cars from auto trader, pistonheads and eBay, obviously I want the most from it so here goes.
2002 206 1.4 8v, average condition few little car park dings little dent on rear arch/door, 1 cigarette burn in seat, not a shed but average, 52000 genuine miles mot is due may 2013 which it should fly through (has done for 4 years) it's metallic green tax is due in November however. It's okay on fuel £20 per week and needs a new map sensor which I might get done before buyer collects. I've had no problems other then the map sensor in the 2 years I've owned it or the 7 years its been in the family. Pics are as follows
Ok so from eBay etc i have the following prices in mind:
£2000 with the nimrods or £1750 without (steels have 4x 5-6mm 2x 2mm tread 6x steels in total) As I say it's a great low milage car.
Thoughts on price? Again no silly ones please

#3: Re: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:32 pm ---- There's cars Pre 2000 with 60000 going for £2300?
#4: Re: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:36 pm ---- Not quite Pre 2000 but here's a few from eBay at a quick glance eBay numbers are as follows
150903329729
230863357351
261033953157
#5: Re: Opinions Author: -Dave-, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:38 pm ---- That is dealer/dreamer prices. You put yours up on auction I would say around the £1100 mark.
#6: Re: Opinions Author: Howey, Location: Kings LynnPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:39 pm ---- My 1999 XS is up for £750
#7: Re: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:39 pm ---- 1100 really? Without the nimrods?
#8: Re: Opinions Author: -Dave-, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:43 pm ---- Sell the wheels separately. It would be worth a bit more if it was a diesel, The only advantage it would have is the fact it's a five door so if priced correctly you may get a quick sale. A dealer might get that sort of money as he can offer warrenty etc but for a private sale I honestly believe you are way off the mark.
#9: Re: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:45 pm ---- Wow didnt think I'd prices it that badly even think 1500 w/o nimrods is too high? s**t thought my car was worth a little atleast lol
#10: Re: Opinions Author: -Dave-, Location: North ManchesterPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:48 pm ---- That's my opinion pal someone else might say different. The only 206's holding any sort of money are the 2.0hdi. Even 180's can be picked up for around £1200 now.
#11: Re: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:50 pm ---- Ouch tbh I'm in no rush to sell so it can kick around until someone coughs up 2k does seem a bit steep if what your saying is right I was going by similar prices from other sites ill try a bit cheaper if the a3 is how I expect
#12: Re: Opinions Author: usher, Location: northallertonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:57 pm ---- my old xs 5 years ago went for 1000 on a 99 plate, my gti i value at 1.200 with the mods, 206 have no value unless there 2005 up really
#13: Re: Opinions Author: LeeThr, Location: North West WalesPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 5:16 pm ---- Will they ever do the same as the 205 and go back up in value? There fetching silly money these days, same as the standard 106 GTi's.
#14: Re: Opinions Author: djdan0123, Location: NorthamptonPosted: Mon Oct 22, 2012 5:21 pm ---- I hope so might just keep it incase it does or break it, or track it if I don't get the money I want lol, money I want goes towards tuning the a3 the more the better not that it needs much already got full leather 18's touch screen dvd
