As it sounds more like a matrix than anything mate

#5: Re: Author: Pauldee83, Location: GlasgowPosted: Wed Oct 31, 2012 3:31 pm ---- How would i go about this ie what wires and whereabouts as i know a bit about cars but not the wiring side.??? Thanks for this mate
#6: Re: Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Wed Oct 31, 2012 3:33 pm ---- As in the connections on the blower and resistor?
As the resistor controls what voltage the fan gets, eg how fast it spins
But if it doesnt work at all on any setting than i would look towards the blower more
#7: Re: Author: Pauldee83, Location: GlasgowPosted: Wed Oct 31, 2012 3:41 pm ---- Ohh i see !!it doesnt work on any setting 1,2,3,4 or any other setting !! so how would i check these wires the 1 into the blower and the 1 into the resistor ?? Could it not b something to do with the actual setting switch u turn to make it faster or slower..??
#8: Re: Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Wed Oct 31, 2012 3:45 pm ---- It could be, but from what i have seen its more common for the connections to melt on the heater blower
#9: Re: Author: Pauldee83, Location: GlasgowPosted: Wed Oct 31, 2012 3:51 pm ---- No probs buddy i will give them a check or probs just buy a new set of wires for them if this is the easier option as i DO NOT want to go through this harsh winter without heaters lol !! thank u very much for your advice/help on this its much appreciated mate

I have a bad connection on the wiring loom. put your head in the passenger footwell and look up inside the dash. You will see a white rectangular plug. Give the wire a good wiggle and see if it comes on. Mine did and I simply gaffa taped it up into a position that works. Not ideal but it has lasted since so can't complain. Never bothered to replace it as its got 3 or 4 plugs on the loom and its hard to access them.

Im ok just now ran a wire from battery to this plug for Time being lol not ideal but does the job at hand aha
