#1: Misfire - P0262, P0201, still need help! Author: dan106 PostPosted: Tue Nov 06, 2012 7:37 am

Just joined the forum in hope that someone can help with my misfire!

Trouble codes- P0262 - Injector cylinder 1 circuit, P0201 - Injector Cylinder 1 Circuit.

Ive tried, new plugs (bosch), new coilpack, swapped the injectors about, problem doesnt change cylinder.

Im now guessing its a wiring or ecu fault.

Any suggestions of what could cause this misfire with these codes?

Help appreciated!!

Dan

More information is needed about the car. We know it's a petrol since you have changed the plugs.
Year and engine would be a help to narrowing down possible causes.

You need to know where injector 1 is for a start. THere is a known fault where the washer jet leaks onto the injector plug.

You're new so it's forgivable as you probably don't realise that there are different variants.

Its a 1.1 03 plate. Arent peugeots and citroens backwards? So cylinder 1 will be flywheel side?

And yeah i read about that, so i swapped the injectors around, but the fault codes remained at injector 1.

Yep, you're spot on with them being backward. The codes are generic so depending on the code reader software, it may get confused with number 4.

After doing what you have already done, I'd be looking at the wiring to make sure there are no shorts or bad connections.

Did you clear the codes after swapping everything about to make sure it wasn't a stored code you were looking at?

Im using a snap on ethos, cleared codes everytime, ive spoke to a mate who works at peugeot, he said there is a common fault with the wiring to the injectors, but because mine has a rubber like coating its the revised version? I couldnt see anything wrong with the wiring, is there a way to check it using a multimetre?

check the injector voltage while cranking; it should be around 12v

or use a noid light

That's #4.

Info-flash from Peugeot says that #4 get's dribbled-on by the hole where the RHS windscreen squirter fits.

They recomend replacing injector connector harness IIRC.

If this doesn't fix it, maybe ECU or ECU-connector.

Is the wiring harness for the injectors the same on different models? the nearest scrappy to me doesnt have any 1.1s and i need to know before i pay for a lift up there to find its different!

Help please i need my car back!

Went to the scrappy anyway, changed the wiring harness, no difference, codes cleared before start up and the exact same codes after start up.

Gotta be ecu hasnt it???

More and more likely now.

Did you plug-unplug the ECU connector(s) a couple of times?
Don't use spray on them thgough, and disconnect battery properly first.
