What clutch has been put in it?

My original engine was cable operated clutch and Gary converted it to hydraulic but somehow kept some of the cable operation? It was bizarre and a very stiff clutch pedal and a gear shift (had to apply around 10kg of pressure to change gear) - yes it was that stiff!

He has now changed it completely so I will see what it like when comes back!

Do we want Dynodaze in Hinckley or HLM again in Bromsgrove?

I'm not faffing around with polls again to set location or date, or sending loads of messages out to chase people, I just don't have time for that. So give me a few comments and I'll make a decision

I personally think we should just keep to what we know mate... less hassle and faffing around.

I did have a bit of an issue getting in and out of the place and even more so when I thought about possibly getting onto the roller. But that was just how low my car was lol.

I vote HLM... we've done it a few times now (am I right Andrew..?) and never had a problem and a great turn out.

So I've been aiming to sort out a meet once every 6 months and the turn out so far has been good. I reckon we could fit one in before the end of the year

Maybe we could do the rolling road thing again, maybe something else this time? Just want to know who would be interested. Would be looking at the Wolves/Stourbridge/Birmingham area

We would be up for this, we have a gti and Type r GT to test,

Right

I've booked this for Saturday 24th November at HLM Tuning - its seems closer for the people I am getting comments from, and we've dealt with them twice before and know that they strap the cars down correctly, have accurate dyno etc.. It also gives continuity with the graphs for people that have been before and modded their car since

They told me on the phone that they have acquired a lot of remapping equipment and can offer tailored remaps, usually around £250 but could offer a discount for us on the day. The dyno runs are £35 for 3 runs and AFR - I need to keep them updated with the numbers we are bringing so they know how many staff to put on.

Please PM me if you are interested so I can keep tabs

I'll pop along & say hello to other members.

Andrew, is your mate from Cannock coming (the one with the clio)?. The 'car scene' up there is massive so he may be able to bring a few people with him.

Ok, I've updated the first post with a list of confirmed people that are going on the dyno

I don't need to keep a number on spectators as such, but they do like to alocate the parking area just outside the dyno bay for cars that are going on, just to make moving them around easier.

Please comment on here or PM me to confirm that you are putting your car on the dyno, and of any extra cars or friends' cars, as well. I will update the list on the first page as and when. Sorry if I have missed you out if you've already got in touch, maybe you were only 50/50 about going so please keep in touch

Cheers to everyone that came, great day as usual.

Hamish (owner of HLM) shown me his mapping software and I can vouch that he doesn't do "generic" remaps, they are fully custom that adjust the fuelling parameters at any given RPM, MAF reading etc..

He did explain to us that the gains aren't as good on N/A as forced induction cars, but a remap can be carried out to bring the fuelling back into line on N/A cars that have been modified and ensure a smoother torque curve and free up any HP that may be missing due to poor air to fuel ratios

You need to go on the Dynojet website and download their file viewer to see the graphs in their file type, which I think was saved on Ants memory stick and emailed to me to distribute.

Handy tool for return visits, you can open a chart and compare any new power runs against previous visits
