Mum's 2.0 HDi, 2001 pre plex went into limp mode a while back. Replaced MAF meter and reset faults.. went fine for about a week and went back into limp mode with the EML on. Had the codes read, and came back as follows..
We've had the EGR valve cleaned out properly, still no luck. Took the new MAF meter back, and had it replaced incase it was a faulty one. Still no luck. Been advised by someone who worked at Peugeot that the "undocumented codes" all relate back to the MAF. If we unplug the MAF, sometimes it will take it out of limp mode, for a few days. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

Anton, the MAF was from uni part. Haven't checked the wiring yet, but that could be the cause as there's a cable tie around the wiring, which could have caused a break.

Okay cheers, was told.by someone at peugeot that they are linked to the MAF ? Cheers for offer anton, I will let ya know but we are led to believe that the MAF is not the actual problem, it's either the wiring or something else. Mrbsi, what are EOBD codes: lol:

I had a cheap one on mine, worked well for about 2 days then was back in limp on the M5, from 75 down to 25 middle lane overtaking a lorry, embarrassing when the lorry ened up undertaking me. When I had my remap done, Steve Lewis (ProSteve) put a 306 one on for me and it's been fine since *touchwood* as we were out of stock of 206 ones at work

Author: ARRAN, Location: WiltshirePosted: Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:41 am ---- I know, I've already replaced one brand new one with another brand new one I'm led to believe that the ACTUAL MAF is not the problem though, unless by pure coincidence I've had two brand new faulty ones.. I'm now thinking it could be the wiring, possibly where someone has cable tied it to the chassis, causing a breakage.
Another thing which is making me turn away from a faulty MAF is we took the brand new one off and put the original old one back on.. and the came out of limp mode for a few days. So, is there any common problems with the MAF wiring, or any other common problems that are linked with the MAF?

P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance Problem
P0402 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected
P1112 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent Low Voltage
