206 no radio or display

Hello all,
Dumb newbie question here.
My recently acquired 206 GTi has no clock (or anything else) in the display. More pressingly, the radio doesn’t work. I’ve tried changing the fuse in the panel by the drivers’ knee and clearing the memory of fault codes (none of which related to the interior controls) but it still doesn’t work.
Weirdly the buttons on the radio still light up.
Do the group have any ideas?

Thanks - but surely the CD should still play a disc even if the connector to the display is working?
