Good shout. Saw your post and took a punt at one for myself. Bluetooth OBD
I chose the ELM 327 super mini version as I means it can be left plugged in and the panel fitted back.
Did a little look round and opted to the Torque Pro software. Can be seen here.. Review
Bluetoothed it up to my wife's HTC wildfire S and runs real nicely.
Next step is finding the perfect Tablet or maybe Samsung Note mobile to use for longer term use.

But the only thing I can get it to display is error codes, and seeing as mine isnt showing a fault light I cant tell if its working or not. Should I be able to see the live data ? My car is a 2002 1.4 HDi.

One of the good things is the trackrecorder - here is a vid I recorded (unfortunately on a low quality)

You'll have to check but diesels are a different standard, or were upto a certain year.

You'll have to check but diesels are a different standard, or were upto a certain year.
Off the top of my head it's 2004 onwards for diesels, although I have connected to a 2001 Y reg diesel using the Elm 327 and Palmer Performance Engineering software.
On a few models you just need to get the protocols set right in the software.
