You could always enter your VIN on servicebox and get the full vehicle characteristics that it left the factory with.
#5: Re: Engine codes Author: iainlovatt, Posted: Thu Nov 22, 2012 7:16 am ---- It would cost me 40 quid for a lift and 50 for delivery. I cant go any lower than £250 collected including all bit you will need.
#6: Re: Engine codes Author: Deano, Posted: Thu Nov 22, 2012 7:58 am ---- How many miles it done though
#7: Re: Engine codes Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Thu Nov 22, 2012 12:32 pm ---- 2002 is an RFN - which it says on the VIN number in the windscreen.
I don't think there is a difference between RFR and RFN engines. Electrics differ because of the additional downstream lambda sensor on the RFN but otherwise....
#8: Re: Engine codes Author: Deano, Posted: Thu Nov 22, 2012 3:57 pm ---- rfn it says on my vin would it matter what block i got or would any 2.0 16v 138bhp fit in any 206 gti 140 after all its only the block i am changing
#9: Re: Engine codes Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Fri Nov 23, 2012 2:01 am ---- I dont think it matter as i've never seen a difference with the engines. Don't quote me on that though. Maybe it's an internal change. If there is one it's not obvious.
