Has anybody come across this before?
GTi 138 (2001) intermittently won't start. Turn key and engine turns over fine just won't come to life.
Have noticed that if I remove key and reinsert it sometimes starts, but appears to be taking more attempts now.
No fault codes or lights present at this time.
Only started last night so not had chance to get too involved in it yet.
Any info welcome at this stage

Could be a dodgy immobiliser aerial. About £20 for a new one from the dealer.

I had a new key done at the Peugeot dealer a little while back, matey started my car, drove out the workshop, then when I tried to start it again a few minutes later it wouldn't do anything more than turn over, like you're saying. Pushed it back in the workshop and plugged it in again, turned out that both the new key and the old key had lost their immobiliser coding because "they were put too close together (in my pocket), too soon after being coded".

Could be something similar? But if yours does sometimes start then maybe it's not. Definitely sounds immobiliser related though.

Late update, but had mate at Peugeot put it on diagnostics before xmas and turns out it had a historic code for key reader.
Erased code, checked and cleaned contacts and crossed my fingers. (also had a software update whilst plugged in) ; )
Safe to say all's been trouble free since
