#1: Knocking/rumbling noise Author: JackRadd, Posted: Thu Nov 29, 2012 1:57 pm ---- Hello, slight issue with my car which has a few different garages baffled. Wondering if anyone has experienced similiar to me.
When turning the wheel to the left when driving anywhere from 10mph upwards a rumble noise comes from the front left wheel?
Had it off and had a good look around but can't see anything out of the ordinary

I tried it again when turning into my drive and it happened again.
Have you got anywhere with the problem?

#10: Re: Knocking/rumbling noise Author: lukecalderon, Posted: Sun Dec 02, 2012 4:09 pm ---- Is it expensive/difficult to replace a CV joint on a 206?
#11: Re: Knocking/rumbling noise Author: DougalR, Posted: Sun Dec 02, 2012 6:32 pm ---- I pretty sure you have to replace the drive shaft, its about and hour job at a garage. you have to refill the gearbox with fluid after its poured out from removing the shaft. maybe a good idea to do the seal too in the diff.

#13: Re: Knocking/rumbling noise Author: bezford, Location: darlingtonPosted: Tue Dec 04, 2012 8:27 am ---- If u fancy doing it yourself get a complete shaft from a scrappy...it works out cheaper than doing the joint alone...check it for play when u buy it...they should have decent ones already off the cars...also buy a ball joint seperator for about £9 to save lots of time...the tool shop should tell u how to use it...if its not obdvious...
