#1: Name that part?? Author: Mounty, Location: United KingdomPosted: Fri Nov 30, 2012 12:00 pm ---- Small part broken off from end of driveshaft where it fits into hub.
Its a approx 2.5-3" ring with teeth all the way round the outer edge. Tucks in behind wheel bearing I think. 1 part of it had fallen out in garage and the rest of it just pulled out. Looks as if it maybe had a seal attached to it when it was new?
Just need to know what its called so can get a replacement. Should there be a cir clip to hold it on?

Will that just tap on to the end of the drive shaft then? Wondering if there is a seal missing from end of shaft as when I pulled it off had a very perished bit of rubber stuck to it?
EDIT: Just seen a Youtube vid, looks like a little heat will sort it!!

Prices vary from £2.50 - £30.00 so went somewhere in the middle for a hardened one. Local Pug dealer hadn't a clue which part i was on about but when they eventually did said part is no longer available, you have to buy it on a replacement drive shaft!! Ooosh!!
