ABS rings
-> 206 Problems

Currently got 2 split abs rings on the GTi thought it would be new shafts to solve this, but just found these on ebay... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEU...27c015a634 Anybody ever used anything like these? Any experience with just fitting the ring to an old shaft?

Anybody able to think of any problems I'm likely to encounter?

I don't know about them (never used them), but i'm 90% sure that the abs rings are part of the CV joint, which you can change separately to the shaft.

just make sure where they fit on the CV is clean and and rust free.

if you have a gas cooker heat them up and they basicly drop on Wink

Don't have gas here, do have a blowtorch handy though, think they should be okay then cartoonhead?

and pug206lx the ABS ring sits on the end of the drive shaft just behind the brake disc.

They have a 2 year warranty on them as well so might as well give them a go for that price. See if that stops my dashboard being like blackpool illuminations, just the anti-polution fault to sort then.

yup a blow torch would be enough to warm it up to expand it.
