I own a 2001 206 xsi.
This morning when I was ready to go to work I got in the car, turned on the ignition - everything seemed OK, lights switch on etc. when I tried to turn it on the starter just turned around and around and the car didn't start, I managed to start it in second gear in a downhill and drove straight to my mechanic, which said the battery and the alternator are fine. he can't connect the car to a computer, I need to go to another mechanic for that, and will do it tomorrow morning if the issue repeats itself.
Once the engine has warmed up it will start immediately, issue only happens when car is cold.
Any thoughts?

Other than cold starting issue the car runs fine

#8: Re: car won't start when cold Author: omricn, Location: israelPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2012 7:13 am ---- Could be allot of things, could be engine not getting fuel\air, could be some sensor causing this, another thing to remember is that this happens ONLY when engine is cold.. so I tend to believe its some kind of sensor

Should be reachable but the best way is to read the live-data with a diagnostic tool and see what value the ECU see's.
I don't think battery is the problem in this case tbh.

Try one of the cheap bluetooth OBD readers from ebay and the 'torque' app for your phone, well worth the money!
