Gti 180 loose gear change
-> 206 Problems

#1: Gti 180 loose gear change Author: Housty-gti180 PostPosted: Tue Dec 18, 2012 11:33 am

Hi just bought a 206 gti 180 and have a couple of questions if anyone can help would be much appreciated.

The gear change is very loose probably common but I'm not happy with it want to tighten things up with a quick shift but can't find one for the gti 180, anyone know where i can buy one? Was also looking for uprated gear linkage but from what I've been reading I'm lead to believe there is no linkage it's actually a cable, would replacing the cable tighten things up with the gear stick?

All gearsticks are loose on a 206 and there is no quick shift unless you get a new gearbox.

GTI180 using cable shifting system. So I think one of your cable or cable holding bracket which is mounted top of gearbox slightly damaged. You can install only compbrake Quickshift. But this is really hard to install.
