Someone had it done a few weeks ago and I think it was over £100 and then they felt ripped off because they were also charged for the dealer getting a code which they didn't ask for.

#6: Re: BSI updates? Author: macca1411, Location: Westhoughton, LancashirePosted: Sun Dec 23, 2012 1:53 pm ---- Not worth trying to update a BSI with the clone equipment. If it fails the person doing it could be left with an expensive bill for the dealers to put it right. I don't think Lee did the updates for that reason.
The horn problem might not be related to the BSI. Switch, VAN system, relay, horn or even the connections to it. Multimeter time.

Lee had a genuine interface I believe.
However updates require Peugeot account with PSA France as it's their server that does the updating on-line in real-time.
It is modifying configs (ECU/BSI) which is risky with clone setups.

i was quoted 200+ for an update from the dealers
#9: Re: BSI updates? Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Dec 23, 2012 3:07 pm ---- All dealers charge different, your horn not working is most probably not a BSI fault. Get it checked it out by an electrician and they will tell you if it is a BSI fault, if it is either the BSI is not sending the signal or it is not feeding. Get the wiring checked first.
