#1: Problem with my 206. Please help!! Author: NathanHall90, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Sat Dec 29, 2012 1:51 pm ---- So couple of weeks ago i flooded my spark plugs and coil pack, Identified this after my car was misifiring on 2 cylynders and partialy firing on another. Replaced the coil pack and spark plugs with brand new gear from a respected parts shop from the area i live in.
Ran fine until a week or so after when it was extremely cold, my car started weird and ever since then and this ONLY HAPPENS whenever my car is first started or is cold and below 70 on the temperature gauge it shudders and stutters ALOT when i'm accelerating once its warmed up it runs absolutely perfectly. I've had it in a garage as it sounded like it was misfiring again how ever they couldnt find any misfires when they hooked it up to the diagnostics computer BUT i think it's worth pointing out they hooked it up to the computer AFTER the car had fully warmed up.
I also noticed just tonight that my coolant levels in the little coolant tank are pretty much near empty, Would this have anything to do with it???

But this needed replacing before i got the new spark plugs and coil pack in and it wasnt doing what its doing now then so i dont think this is the issue

If it goes down look for an external leak, if no external leak is found then it points to an internal leak, which from what you describe from the cold start problem you explain it points too the head gasket failing.
If it points to an internal leak and still misfires from cold, one morning before you start it take the plugs out and shine a light into the cylinder and see if you can see any coolant on the top of the piston.

Just find it weird how once my car has warmed up properly it works perfectly

Author: bezford, Location: darlingtonPosted: Thu Jan 03, 2013 3:43 am ---- When u say u flooded them what do u mean?just too much petrol on starting?because ive never put new parts in after flooding???unless u mean something else???and the problem is that when its cold u accelerate but it hesitates and misfires and goes then misses then goes again giving your neck a workout..is this right???
And wot type is your car man???

The only way i can explain it as it feels like it's misfiring yes. It judders and stutters when trying to accelerate off quickly or build speed up quickly when first started.
It's a 52 plate 1.1 206.
