The oil level sensors are temperamental. I can park on the drive and one day it says full, next day it's empty then it says half full.

I have other electric faults so gonna try the bsi reboot thing after work to see if it sorts things out. Seems a common thing the oil indication on dash could fit a newoil sensor around a tenner see if it works but have no idea where its located as I only just got my 206 2 days ago so gotta get use to the french sack lol

I don't know why people panic about the level indicator. If you checked your levels weekly, then you would know how much oil was in the sump. If you lost enough oil in the week where you had to rely on the dashboard level indicator, then I'd be more worried about where the oil was going and how much damage there was to the engine.
