any help or images would be great

New cable is around £25 but follow the instructions EXACTLY and only release the spacer at the last operation after everything else is fitted otherwise the self ratcheting system ratchets up the slack and there's no going back
It's designed to be a one time fit and forget type operation and it's the best idea to renew the cable when you renew the clutch. The adjusting bolt by the clutch pedal is just to adjust the pedal height and that's all
