hey all got myself a 180

My Plans Are to lower it, get a good induction kit for it. any ideas? and paint the wheels graphite gray

it already has the cat back scorpion exhaust but that might be getting changed for a janspeed exhaust.

i have already had it remapped by superchips making 170.3bhp before the map and 173.3 after it. it was a generic map and i have been told by many 180 owners after a few hundred miles the car calibrates hence the 3bhp after the generic map flash. i may also add the exhaust was leaking on both dyno pulls

i have also added a k and n panel filter

Pics from the dealer

Yeah very nice example, I hated the silver grill on mine but I think they look good on the blue 180's if I'm honest, oh so clean reminds me of when I got mine ... Then I used it to travel too and from a coke ovens plant.... I hate coal haha. Anyway nice 180 !!

new rear axle fitted with powerflex bushes and new hubs and rear brakes, two new wishbones fitted with powerflex bushes, new drop links, coilovers and new top mounts fitted. lower powerflex engine mount fitted.

the full powerflex kit has made it handle alot better. it just wants to spin all the time and under-steer. remember its winter and i have cheap tyres on just now. there is no wheel-hop

Awesome Smile I wanna polybush a few bits but they are in good condition at the moment so no hurry. Did my timing belt and waterpump and service over christmas!
Clutch itself is okay but my release bearing has starting rattling so i'm replacing the lot and a couple of little bits while im there.
I see you mentioned coilovers, which ones did you get and have you lowered it now then?

Looking good fella, how do you find the prosport's? Iv just fit a set to my gti but won't be driving it for a few more weeks yet. Hoping there not gonna be complete bone shakers Rolling Eyes

it depends how low you go, for the money i think they are really good, alot better ride than my standard but i think thats due to my shocks being f**ked. they'll do for now. my wishbones are solid with them powerflew bushes, all got fitted at the same time

Ah fair enough, not really looking for a massive drop. 30mm maybe. My suspension was way past best and these were the cheapest replacement option

What lower engine mount have you used? supposedly the powerflex ones just give immense vibrations through the car, but they do their job i suppose

i have the full powerflex kit on the car, so its powerflex. yes there is little and i mean little vibrations through the car. but well worth upgrading i'd say

k&n typhoon now fitted, took the bmc off, ran the standard system again before the typhoon, its heat wrapped and this deffo is the best induction kit for the 180s, sounds amazing and feels a little quicker
