#21: Re: my new 180 Author: gogs_macaulay, Posted: Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:20 pm ---- new rear axle fitted with powerflex bushes and new hubs and rear brakes, two new wishbones fitted with powerflex bushes, new drop links, coilovers and new top mounts fitted. lower powerflex engine mount fitted.
the full powerflex kit has made it handle alot better. it just wants to spin all the time and under-steer. remember its winter and i have cheap tyres on just now. there is no wheel-hop
#22: Re: my new 180 Author: DanT, Location: Torbay, EnglandPosted: Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:22 pm ---- Any pictures of your new goodies? Got to do my clutch tomorrow haha great!
#23: Re: my new 180 Author: gogs_macaulay, Posted: Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:57 pm ---- just this
whys you're clutch needing done? my timing belt really needs done, but this axle and all these powerflex parts have made me broke for just now.
#24: Re: my new 180 Author: DanT, Location: Torbay, EnglandPosted: Wed Feb 12, 2014 2:25 pm ---- Awesome I wanna polybush a few bits but they are in good condition at the moment so no hurry. Did my timing belt and waterpump and service over christmas!
Clutch itself is okay but my release bearing has starting rattling so i'm replacing the lot and a couple of little bits while im there.
I see you mentioned coilovers, which ones did you get and have you lowered it now then?
#25: Re: my new 180 Author: gogs_macaulay, Posted: Mon Feb 17, 2014 8:26 am ---- todays task was to put the coilovers up so i can get my tracking set.
also here is some pictures of my powerflex parts

#28: Re: my new 180 Author: gogs_macaulay, Posted: Mon Feb 17, 2014 12:35 pm ---- it depends how low you go, for the money i think they are really good, alot better ride than my standard but i think thats due to my shocks being f**ked. they'll do for now. my wishbones are solid with them powerflew bushes, all got fitted at the same time
#29: Re: my new 180 Author: Conners300983, Location: Bradford, UKPosted: Mon Feb 17, 2014 2:20 pm ---- Ah fair enough, not really looking for a massive drop. 30mm maybe. My suspension was way past best and these were the cheapest replacement option
#30: Re: My Gti180. Powerflex pictures. timing belt kit arrived. Author: gogs_macaulay, Posted: Tue Feb 18, 2014 11:52 am ---- parts awaiting to get fitted.
