#1: 206 Climate control problems Author: whittick88, Posted: Thu Jan 10, 2013 4:41 am ---- Hi,
I have been having a couple of problems with the climate control in my 206 (V reg Roland Garros)...
I switch the car on and turn on the heater (AC has no gas as recently changed the pump and didn't bother getting it regassed due to these issues), generally nothing will happen and ill have to wipe the screen and set off on my way.
However about 10 minutes into the journey the CC will take on a mind of its own and go from refusing to blow any air to setting itself to max and going nuts.
I've always just put up with this but its getting to be a bit of a problem in the winter months now and would really like to get it sorted. Recently it seems as if the bulb in my clock/radio display and CC display pannel have gone too, not sure if these are related but I would assume not.
My question is has anyone had any issues similar to this? Could it be something like the resistor needs replacing?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

about the bulbs, you need to replace it,because they get faulty with time.
#3: Re: 206 Climate control problems Author: whittick88, Posted: Fri Jan 11, 2013 8:27 am ---- Hi Timon thanks for the reply, this is when using the climate control on 'eco' I don't use the A/C as I know there's no gas. It's a really weird behaviour as when I turn the car on and switch the CC to 'eco' nothing happens, it's as if I've not turned the heater on at all. then about 10 minutes into the journey it will decide to work, switch the fan icon to max and I need to lower it to 1/2-1 blade after which point it seems to work fine.
I'm watching a new climate control faceplate on ebay that I'm considering buying but not convinced this will fix the issue. Has anyone else experienced turning the fan (not AC) on, nothing happening, then 10 mins later it switching to max and working as if there are no issues?
Thanks,
Ben

It could be measuring the temp inside the car and the fan doesn't blow until the engine is up to temperature, or some similar automated control.
