Recently i had a problem with locking the car. To start with the locks would bounce twice and on the third attempt lock however when i returned to the car a while later it was unlocked. My car will lock now but randomly unlocks itslef! This is a big problem as i know its locked when i leave it however when i return its unlocked itself!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply... just as a sort of heads up - how much did it cost you?

Try to identify the side which is malfunction. Try to spray some wd-40 into the lock MECHANISM first, it might solve your probelm if your lucky. If still not working you will need to replace the door lock MECHANISM.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT...27b0188b3b

It shlould be half an hour job taking the door panel then replace the lock MECHANISM. Had the same problem with my 206, problem solved since i replace the lock.

ive seen this on other cars. You lock it, locks. Come back in the morning and all the doors are open!

Definitely the solenoid. probably about £10 for a solenoid from a scrappy and you can fit it yourself

Thanks for all you help guys, I appreciate it! Also thanks for the link and for the description and it looks like I can save myself a small fortune by doing it myself.

Just thought I would let you guys know how i got on....

After accidently slamming the door the other day it has stopped bouncing when i try to lock even though it was stilling randomly unlocking.

It has been a couple of days now and it doesn't bounce and I haven't found its unlocked itself so It seems like it might have sorted itself! I just hope that if it does unlock itself I will find it and not someone else...

thanks anyway
