#1: Auxillary belt Author: iancav6, Location: rugbyPosted: Mon Jan 21, 2013 1:59 pm ---- For the second time in about 2000 miles, the mrs 2004 137 hp GTI has chewed up the aux belt. The first time was just after we bought it so put that down to lack of servicing, this morning it did the same to the brand new belt i fitted back then.
Any thoughts on the cause?

Yes i did wonder if it was that. When i was refitting the new one it seemed to have more movement in it than it should.
