#1: Simmo - 206 1.1L STYLE Author: Simmo, Location: YorkPosted: Thu Jan 24, 2013 5:56 am ---- So this isnt the most powerful 206 in the world at all but without lots of money i had to start off low so 1.1L it had to be which still left insurance costs sky high, around £4k most insurance companies quoted me.
I wanted to make this boring little thing look a little better by adding a few light mods and then maybe progressing from there.
My reg plate is an anagram for slow
Looking very boring, Kenwood radio was ok
One of the first things to change was my wheels, to get rid of those nasty wheel trims
I replaced the top wing mirror plastic from plain black to 206 GTI silver and you can just see that the Kenwood headunit has been replaced with a Sony XPLOD. I have also installed 'Vibe Air' door speakers and a 400W Blaupunkt Sub
REG plate has been replaced to private reg, i have replaced my rear lights to the MK 2 206 lights
next to add was the spoiler, which i think is custom made, never seen this spoiler on any other 206
Probably cant see so good from this angle but it is indented unlike other 206 spoilers
Next up was the Angel eyes
small interior bits changed, vents and handle sprayed silver and vents taken from a GTI
Changed my stained faded old blue seats to, half leather GTI seats.
Few mud marks which will wash off, i now have a centred rear seat belt, all with head rests and front seats are now high adjustable
unfortuntly one of my angel eyes was crushed in my crash, but i now have attatched a chrome bonnet grill, body coloured front bumper and rear bumper and body coloured side strips.
new silver gear knob fitted, hated the plastic one!
New leather Door cards with leather glove box cover. Taken from a 206cc
Just bought these from @iainlovatt Not arrived just yet but should look gorgeous when they are on
These morettes inspired me to go for a black on silver theme, so plans are to tint rest of windows, possibly paint Nimrods etc
thats about it up until now, heres my future plans for now
- Phase 2 boot strip [ ]
- debadge boot [ ]
- tint rear windows [?]
- GTI door sills [ ]
- possible air filter [?]
- chrome bonnet gril [?]
- Metal pedals [ ]
- possibly adding front bumper with fog lights [?]
- GTI fuel cap [?]
- 206 info sticker [ ]
- silver bumpers [?]
- Morette headlights [?]
ideas welcome...... Last edited by Simmo on Fri Jul 05, 2013 7:20 am; edited 11 times in total

#3: Re: Simmo - 206 1.1L STYLE Author: Big_Rich180, Posted: Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:08 am ---- As said much better with the alloys, I wouldn't bother with any performance mods with the engine you've got though...it would just be embarrassing for all involved lol.
At the risk of being a sheep, a GTi spoiler would set it of nicely and may be a bit of spray around the interior (handles, center console etc).

Check it out before you try it mate! Nothing would be worse than pulling it all out fitting and not working!:) I am waiting on a new switch for mine as my passenger side doesn't go up just down haha!
#20: Re: Simmo - 206 1.1L STYLE Author: Simmo, Location: YorkPosted: Wed Jun 26, 2013 9:07 am ---- So it will soon be coming to the end of my 206 sadly I cant afford to keep fixing problems on it anymore as it is now 12 years old and becoming one big liability. The car as you can see has had a lot of upgrades and mods to it as i decided OEM was the style for me.
The car will soon be uninsured for me to drive at the end of this month and then i will be breaking the car for parts. I am posting this now for people to see and have a look at what they might like on the car. I will create a new thread with list and pictures of parts for sale soon.
