Driver side window stuck! Help please?

#1: Driver side window stuck! Help please? Author: O111e PostPosted: Fri Jan 25, 2013 12:12 pm
    ----
All my electric windows and sun roof work fine but the driver side window opens all the way but will not close all the way, I can't afford to get it fixed at a garage so is there any way I can temporarily force it shut just so I can use the car until I can afford to get it fixed? I tried pulling it up, jiggling it and pressing the button at te same time, any solutions?

Thanks,

O111e

Take the torx screw out of the little pocket on the door card (about half way up the door), and then unclip the card starting from the top and working down.

Or get a hammer and hit it very hard

Hmm would a flat screwdriver work on a torx screw?

Nope a torx is required to remove a torx screw

An angle grinder will remove a torx screw

A flat head does work in a Torx bit aslong as you get the right size, there is also a few more Torx screws round the edge if the door card including one under the tweeter cover.
