I have got a peugeot 206 1.1 1998 which the gearbox has gone in would anyone be able to tell me if the gearbox from a 1999 Roland Garros would fit it?

I imagine the RG will have different ratios because it's a 1.6. Shouldnt be too different though.

Doubt it will be significantly different.

Will the drive shafts still fit or will they be different?

If i remember correctly, the 1.6 ones at the diff input are slightly shorter so 1.4/1.1 ones slightly leak

could i just swap the 1.1 ones with the 1.6 then?

Yes, the 1.6 will fit your car but if you fitted the 1.1 shafts into the 1.6 gearbox they would not fully sit in/mate and leak ever so slightly.

When you get the box just compared the ends which enter the box and you will see what i mean

So if I just change the shafts and box everything will be fine?
