#1: 138 gti exhaust blowing Author: liamcope, Location: Stamford, UkPosted: Mon Jan 28, 2013 6:02 am ---- Hi,
Had my 206 a couple of weeks now and I love it
Just over the past couples of days I have noticed a strange blowing noise from the exhaust. I have checked the backbox and that looks ok? Does anyone have any ideas or cost of repair?
The car has done 79k, 206 138 gti 2001.
Thanks,
Liam

You'll easily be able to hear the general area of a leak if you have your head under the side of the car. You can always put your hand near the noisy area and get a better idea of the hole location. Don't touch the exhaust pipe though as it may be hot.

With the engine just started, get no your knees and press the throttle with your hand while you look underneath. You may see a little smoke/condensation coming out as the exhaust warms up.
