Hey Guys,

Recently bought myself another 206 to use as a daily runner and keep the miles/fuel costs down on my 207 GTi.

Im looking for the cheapest place you guys would recommend to purchase a cambelt and waterpump (kit or separately which ever works out cheapest).

If you could recommend some sites/links that would be brilliant!

Had a look at them already... are they pretty good with the parts being the correct ones for the car?? I used the reg to search for parts so i would have thought so??

These are the parts they listed:

Cambelt kit:

www.eurocarparts.com/e...082&000332

Waterpump:

www.eurocarparts.com/e...148&000366

Are there any other bits involved for changing these that i would need to order?

I just bought a SKF cambelt kit and new water pump for my 1.6 HDi GTi. Got mine from carparts4less for just over £100. Then they discount £15 for every £100 spent, so £85 total

90 sheets seems a fair price. I am getting mine fitted this Friday but also fitting new rear disks, pads and hand brake cable £150 to fit everything (inc the belt change)
I always use carpartsforless as their prices seem to be the cheapest I can find for quality parts.
Glad to be of help.

PS don't forget you'll need antifreeze Wink

I was going to ask Rhino motors in Plymouth as they always seem a good price. But this guy does all our work cars and quoted £90 so seems fair.

Are they anything to do with eurocarparts as the website and stock are identical just cheaper?

Oooo yes fair point..may let the garage do that bit Wink

Euro and CP4L seem to be the same company. Don't know why they have different prices for the same thing though. Found this when I did a quick search

"Perhaps the same parent company - cf Homebase and Argos - just look at their websites (and stock).

Little nose around - company records show several members of 4less are also directors of Euro. Previous Company name - Yourco 239 Ltd, changed 27th April 2011.

Fairly obviously an online spin-off from the parent company -presumably no retail premises, hence the possibility of lower prices.
At least they shouldn't suffer the appalling knowledge base deficiency in the Euro shop staff."

Carparts4less and Eurocarparts are the same company. Buypartsby will beat their prices.

Eurocarparts rely on their name and the trust it engenders to sell at higher prices. Carparts4less use lower prices to shift volume to those shopping around.

When are you boys having your cambelts changed?

I have been told by 2 peugeot dealers that 144k is the changing point.
