I have just read on Aussie frogs some one had the same problem he fixed it by replacing the fan resistance relay it is on the left hand side of the fan in the middle of the circle under the speed relays I am goin to try this myself today maybe u should have a look to hope this helps

The resistance relay doesn't exist.
There is one relay which uses a separate resistor to reduce the current which therefore slows the fan down.
The other relay comes into play at higher temperatures and doesn't use the resistor therefore the fan runs at higher speed.
If the resistor was broken the slow speed fan wouldn't work (it uses this for the air con too) but the fan would still come on at high speed eventually. Of course you might also be suffering from corroded wiring which isn't obvious by just removing the relay units. You need to inspect the wiring to the terminals in the relay housing.

To test the low speed fan disconnect the green coolant temperature sensor. The fan should come on.

As the op says there his fan comes on at about 95 I don't have any fan till about 108 where is the green coolant sensor located? on the thermostat housing I will have a look at that when I get home so if the fan comes on when I undo the sensor does that mean the slow fan relay or the resistor is knackered ? And I have checked all the wires in the relay housing they all fine and sorry for hijacking thread just I have same problem and they is no point in me starting a new topic for the same problem thanks chaps

You can always bridge the terminals when the relay is removed to test the fan.

If you have a multimeter you can see if a signal is coming from the ECU or not.

If the fan comes on it means the relay and resistor are fine.

Ye when it get to 95 degrees they is no fan but they is power in the red wire goin to the resistor but when the engine is cold they is not the fan does work at hi speed when engine is 108 I will check the sensor tomorrow and will report back thanks Edward

Update I have removed the green coolant sensor and the fan kicks in so that means the resistor is ok and the relay any more ideas why my slow speed fan might not be working

Is the low speed fan definately not working when the engine gets hot? You won't hear it inside the car or even outside sometimes.

Is it just the high speed fan that's not working? It's loud enough for you to know when it's on.

I have stood at front of car waited till it hit 95 no fan I still stood there at about 108 and the fan kicks in really fast and loud the op of this thred said his fan does kick in at 95 I am really stuck with this one mate I am just worried if I in traffic or someone borrows my car and don't know about it and it goes past my new engine will go Bang

Well the fact the high speed fan work will save the engine. Does the low speed fan come on when the air conditioning is switched on?
Might not work if it's too cold but above certain air temperatures it should switch on regardless of coolant temperature.
