10 year old 206 with 92k miles on presented for mot test = pass & no advisories.

It just goes to show if you look after things correctly you get rewarded with a nice easy pass certificate come mot time Thumb Up

Our work van just had its mot, it's 8 and a half years old now with 138k and not a single advisory. It's a good little donkey of a work van really Smile

Too many people use the MOT as a check to see what's wrong with the car.
Like you say, keep on top of things and do regular maintenance checks, then the car looks after you.

I'd much prefer to pay for parts throughout the year as they start to wear rather than have a massive bill just to get the car back on the road after the MOT.

Mine always passes too, as said keep an eye on things, replace as necessary then give it a once over before its MOT.
