#1: Wobble come from front wheels Author: RoweY, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2013 6:04 am ---- My wheels seem to wobble a lot when driving, I think it could have something to do with the suspension as they wobble up and down not side to side, I have had the drop link rods changed but hasn't made much difference. Any ideas ?

#3: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: Lowercase, Location: East SussexPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2013 11:27 am ---- yea sounds like the balancing, if it only does it at certain speeds then thats the culprit.
#4: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: RoweY, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2013 11:54 am ---- no it does it after going over bumps in the road ? I had my wheels checked last week when i was getting the drop link rods changed.

#6: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: RoweY, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:19 pm ---- Yes hearing a thumping sound!
#7: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: P6RAF, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:27 pm ---- Could be a couple of things but to be honest the only real way to solve it would be to jack it up and start pulling, pushing and shaking the wheels till you find which part is moving that shouldn't be. Be careful with the jack though obviously.
I'm guessing it may be either track rod end or wish bone bush. But you or someone will need to take a closer look at what's going on.
Although I'm surprised who ever change your drop links didn't have a look around whilst changing it.
#8: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: RoweY, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:29 pm ---- I changed my own drop links myself and didn't see anything when i was checking it out i might try new wishbone and see if that solves it cheers!
#9: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: P6RAF, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:33 pm ---- They ain't that cheap buddy. I would seriously recommend looking closer at the problem. I would want to be responsible for suggesting you replace the wishbone without confirming it first.
#10: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: RoweY, Location: MiddlesbroughPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:39 pm ---- I'll have a closer look tomorrow on my day off, thanks for the advice
#11: Re: Wobble come from front wheels Author: P6RAF, Location: PlymouthPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 3:43 pm ---- You may need a long bar to help force the wishbone up and down to look for any play.
Good luck

Is the clunking an exhaust knock against the floor?
Broken spring?
Knackered damper?
Engine mounts even?
Loose radiator?
Loose battery?
